The point of Nicolas Goubert: la MotoE towards Valencia

Nicolas Goubert in conversation with Giampiero Testoni, technical director of Energica

The executive director of Fim Enel MotoE World Cup, Nicolas Goubert, in an interview with Paddock-gp.com, spoke about how the reconstruction of the MotoE World Cup after the accident that destroyed all the bikes and equipment last March in Jerez (here the posts about the event). Below we have resumed some parts of the interview made on the occasion of the French stage of Formula E.

In mid-March, a fire destroyed most of the equipment in Jerez. Where are you with your reconstruction?
"Energica is rebuilding all the bikes that will be ready by the end of May. All the suppliers have reacted very quickly and have made this possible in less than three months, it is a truly remarkable result: thanks go to them! We will then carry out the 17, 18 and 19 June tests in Valencia, during which we will organize a race simulation preceded by an E-pole simulation (the qualifying session of the championship races will be in Super-Pole style). In Valencia, Energica will offer the winner one Energica Eva, the streetfighter model of the Modenese house. "

Eric Granado, the fastest in Jerez last March.

In the cars there is an organizer for F1 and another for Formula E, for the motorcycles the two championships, thermal and electric, have the same organizer, Dorna. Will it be an advantage?
“Yes, of course this will be a big advantage because we have all the infrastructure already in place. The media and the public will be there from the start, it will be up to us to make this new series attractive. "

Formula E uses treaded tires for dry and rainy conditions. There is only one type of tire. How will the situation be for the MotoE?
In MotoE the riders will have the best possible grip in both dry and wet conditions, so they will have tires dedicated to each of these conditions. (here the information on the tires) We take advantage of the Michelin know-how, which will offer the extra soft rain tires that the MotoGP uses in the rain and which have a phenomenal level of grip. (here the comments of Niccolò Canepa after having filmed with wet tires)
