The performance of the MotoE on the Portimao circuit

The Autodromo do Algarve, in Portimao, is the most fascinating on the World Championship calendar. The track extends over a length of 4590 m with six left-hand turns, nine right-hand turns and a final straight of 970 metres. TheMotoE was at this track for the first time in 2024. The highest average speed for the MotoE class in Portimao was 154.6 km/h, while the maximum speed reached was 264.1 km/h. On the Portuguese circuit, the electric class of MotoGP is at full throttle 40.5% of the time, while the engine brake is used 31.6% of the time. As for the brakes, the front is used 28.6% of the time. MotoE's regenerative braking generates 10% of the energy used in Portimao.
