Promising Friday for the Tech3 E-Racing team in Assen

Lukas Tulovic (Tech3 E-Racing) in Assen

After a dry FP1, around lunchtime today, the riders of the MotoE faced some mixed conditions for FP2 in the afternoon. The track dried quickly, so even in the afternoon everyone hit the track with slick tyres. Lukas Tulovic had shown that he had already found a good feeling in the first session, and was able to improve further by 1.269 seconds in the afternoon, ending the day with a good third position.
Corentin Perolari focused on learning the Assen Circuit with his Energica Ego Corsa, already getting a good 12th time in the morning free practice. Perolari struggled a bit more in FP2, but still ended the day in 14th place. The third and final free practice session will be Saturday at 11:50 local time, before the all-important E-Pole, scheduled for 16:10 local time.

Lukas Tulovic
“I was very excited to come here to Assen, which is the second closest track to my home and above all it’s very fast and flowing. With the new asphalt and some visitors in the grandstands it feels really amazing to ride here. We started the first day in a very good way today, finishing inside the top 3 again. We made some small improvements on the setting throughout today, so I’m very happy about this. The team made a fantastic job, now we will only have to keep a close eye on the weather for the next two days and make the best of each situation”.

“FP1 was going pretty well for me. The track was new to me and I like it a lot. In Free Practice two, I managed to do only five fast laps and aimed to improve further, but somehow, I lost some power from my battery. I was also pretty cautious in the beginning as there have been still some wet places on track. Therefore, I will try to attack even more tomorrow”.
