The Octo Pramac MotoE team completed the test in Jerez with Alessandro Zaccone and Yonny Hernandez in the Top 10 and is among the favorites for the first race of the season.
Very positive pre-season test for the Octo Pramac MotoE team; both riders, Zaccone and Hernandez, finished in the Top 10 in the race simulation and took the fourth and ninth position respectively in the test combined standings. The best lap-time of the Italian rider was 1:47.667 six tenths from the best time of Eric Granado, while the Colombian rider, rookie in MotoE, set a time of 1:48.233, just over a second from the top of the standings. On the last day of testing, the Octo Pramac team had to miss the first session of the morning due to a problem with the Covid test that caused riders and technicians to arrive late on the circuit.
Yonny Hernandez
“Unfortunately in the race simulation I didn't start well, it was my first start with this type of bike and I made a mistake, but after that I managed to make a lot of overtaking and I finished ninth. The pace was good and I'm happy. In the last practice session I set my best time ever, I'm very satisfied."
Alessandro Zaccone
“I am very satisfied with the work, we have tried many things in these tests, we have understood which direction we need to take and what we need to improve on. I could have done better in the race simulation but I'm still very happy."
