The Avant Ajo MotoE team and Hikari Okubo have completed a good pre-season in Jerez ahead of the 2021 season of the FIM MotoE World Cup.

The pre-season of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup ended after the last three days of official testing at the Jerez-Angel Nieto circuit. The Avant Ajo MotoE team and Hikari Okubo left the Spanish track after completing 63 laps and a good race simulation. The Japanese rider managed to lower his lap-time session after session, setting his personal best on the last day.
During testing, Okubo had the opportunity to participate in an eight-lap race simulation, in which he finished eighth starting from the fourth row. During the race, the Japanese rider was able to fight in the top group and with Matteo Ferrari, winner of the MotoE 2019. On the last day of the official test, Okubo set his personal best with a time of 1:48.242 in tenth position in the combined three-day standings.

Hikari Okubo
“I'm very happy with our feeling. The morning of the last day, I set my best lap of the test and I hada a pretty good pace. However, after midday the wind picked up, hindering our work for the rest of the day. Even so, in the second and third sessions we continued working on our setup. I'm satisfied with how the test went and I can't wait for the first round of the season.”
