Sales of electric motorcycles start to rise again in the first ten months of 2022. In October, the growth of electric motorcycles resumes sustained, reaching 14.236 units in the first ten months of the year, with an increase of 56,3% compared to 2021, thanks also to the incentives of the new 20 million eco-bonus.

The electric two-wheeler market from January to October recorded an increase of 56,3% over the same period of the previous year. The incidence of zero-emission vehicles on the total market is about 5%. Compared to 2021, 5.178 mopeds were registered, equal to + 55,3%, 8.444 scooters (+ 61,3%) and 614 motorcycles (+ 14,5%).
With the support of purchase incentives, the last of which the 20 million euro eco-bonus active since October, it is the segments most used in city trips that drive a market in excellent health, which shows very positive numbers also under the heading electric quadricycles.

The Ecobonus 2022 for electric scooters and motorcycles

In the first ten months of 2022, electric vehicles benefited from the eco-incentives that the Italian government recently renewed in October with another 20 million. On 31 October, around 10 million euros were still available for the purchase of electric motorcycles and scooters with the state contribution of 30% up to a maximum of 3.000 euros (40% in case of scrapping and maximum contribution of 4.000 euros) .
The funds have been uploaded to the portal ecobonus.mise.gov.it and are available to those who want to buy a two-wheeled electric vehicle, excluding e-bikes.

This scooter is equipped with a removable 1.56 kWh or 2.1 kWh battery which guarantees a maximum range of 50 or 70 km. The overall charging time varies from 7 to 9 depending on the type of battery. The Askoll ES can be chosen between different models with different battery capacity and homologation: the ES1 and ES2 are classified as mopeds, that is, reaching up to 45 km / h.
