In the 2024 French GP of MotoE, Nicholas Spinelli achieved an extraordinary double victory. The Italian rider gave the Tech3 team a great result on the home circuit. Alessandro Zaccone also achieved a good result, fourth in Race 2.

The Tech3 E-Racing team's French Grand Prix at Le Mans was almost perfect, with Nicholas Spinelli winning both races of the MotoE on Saturday, bringing the French team a fantastic double on their home circuit. For his part, Alessandro Zaccone was unlucky in the first race, falling due to a slight contact with Granado, but in the second he took a brilliant fourth place and gained important points which allowed the team to leave Le Mans in second place in the teams' standings .
In race one, starting from second place on the grid, the Italian Nicholas Spinelli started strong, maintaining his position on the first lap, before taking the lead on the following lap from Mattia Casadei. On the third lap, his confidence grew and he set his fastest lap in 1'39.973, the second fastest time of the race. His pace allowed him to create a small advantage over his pursuers and, once Hector Garzò fell, Spinelli managed to escape and take his second victory of the season in the electric class. On the other hand, despite a good start from seventh to fifth position, Alessandro Zaccone collided with another rider and was unable to avoid the crash, leaving him only with disappointment, but fortunately there was another chance to go in points later in the afternoon.

In race two, when the traffic lights went out, Spinelli immediately took the lead ahead of Mattia Casadei, taking the lead on the first lap, but the world champion, immediately behind, quickly overtook him. Spinelli remained close, until he managed to overtake the LCR E-Team rider, retaking the lead, after setting his fastest lap of the race. From then on, it was all about defence for Spinelli, with Casadei very close, waiting for an error from the Tech3 rider. Finally, on the last lap, Casadei made an attempt on Spinelli, but Spinelli didn't give up and took the checkered flag first again. Alessandro Zaccone also achieved an excellent performance in the challenge at Le Mans, taking fourth place.
Now the MotoE moves to Spain, where the Catalan Grand Prix, Jordi Torres' home race, will take place in two weeks.

“I am very happy with our weekend, with the feeling on the bike, and winning both races on the team’s home race is special. We have scored big points and we are now two points from Casadei, but there are many more rounds coming now, it will go fast as we have another four before the summer break, so it is important to stay focused on each race. Next will be Barcelona, I really like the track, its long corners, and we will try to do well in Spain."

Alessandro Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing)
“I am super disappointed with the crash in race 1, because I felt really strong, the bike was working well, but I had contact with Granado, and I could not do anything. In the afternoon, we took a good start and rode at a strong pace. However, sometimes I felt a bit on the limit, and I chose to secure PXNUMX, even though I think that we could have tried to go for the podium. Points are the most important. Very positive weekend, the speed is getting back there, we just need a bit more luck sometimes and we will be able to fight for podiums."
