Ready for the 10th TT Zero of the Isle of Man

The Shinden from the Bathams Mugen team

The TT Zero is the race reserved for electric motorcycles of the legendary TT of the Isle of Man. It has existed since 2009 and in these 10 years of history, the lap record has risen from an average speed of 96,82 miles per hour set by Mark Miller in the first edition, at a staggering 121,824 miles per hour set by Michael Rutter in 2018.

The Mugind team has dominated the race in recent years, with John McGuinness, Michael Rutter and Bruce Anstey, all winners with the Japanese factory team.
Michael Rutter leads the overall class standings with four wins to his name - three with the MotoCzysz, with which he crossed the 2012mph + lap limit for the first time in 100 - and one with the Mugen team last year .

John McGuinness, who won two victories but was unable to participate in the last two editions due to injury, this year will be with Rutter in the Bathams Mugen team. McGuinness, who set the lap record in the 2014 (117,36 mph) and 2015 (119,27 mph), is looking for his 23 number win in the TT.
In addition to the internal struggle of the Mugen team, the bikes of the universities of Nottingham, Brunel and Bath will be carefully observed. After second place last year, Nottingham University and its driver Daley Mathison are the main challengers of the Shinden Mugen. This year Mathison will have important innovations to the inverter and to the motor to aim for the first victory at the TTZero.
