MotoE Spanish GP Aegerter
Happy weekend in Jerez for Dominique Aegerter

MotoE - In the Spanish GP Dominique Aegerter gains a podium and a fourth place in the first round of the MotoE World Cup 2022. With second place in Saturday's race and fourth place on Sunday, the Swiss rider of the Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE team is second in the overall standings with 33 points.

MotoE - The two races of the Spanish GP, opening round of the MotoE 2022 at the Jerez circuit, once again showed how close the races of the electric category of MotoGP are. After an exciting battle with Eric Granado and Matteo Ferrari on Saturday, Aegerter faced off against the LCR team duo on Sunday.
In both races, the Swiss rider was a protagonist, often leading the group and showing spectacular duels with Pons, Granado and Casadei. Aegerter leaves Jerez after conquering the ninth podium in MotoE and 33 points that allow him to be in the second position in the standings, behind Eric Granado.

Dominique Aegerter (Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE) - 2rd and 4th in the Spanish GP of MotoE

“This is certainly a great start to the season. In race 1 I had a good start, but in the first corners, I was unable to attack and dropped to 7th place. It wasn't that easy to overtake in the early laps because the group was pushing a lot and everyone had a high speed and didn't give me any space. When I saw that there were still three laps to go, I said to myself, ok, now we have to start being in front to fight for the podium or even the win. In the end, it was second place. The Dynavolt Intact GP team did a fantastic job, they gave me a good bike and they worked very hard.”

Spanish GP - Aegerter battling with Granado and Pons

“Unfortunately, in race 2 I made a big mistake in the last corner, I thought there were only three of us. Instead Casadei had caught up with us and overtook me in the last corner. Unfortunately, I threw away the podium, but the races of the MotoE are always incredibly difficult, you have to have tactics and my plan was actually to take first place on the last lap so that I have a chance to win. In the first corner of the last lap, I went a bit wide when I passed Pons and lost two places, but I thought I could attack again. Unfortunately that didn't work. Of course, I'm a little disappointed with fourth place, but they are still important points that we will bring with us to Le Mans. My big thanks go to the Dynavolt Intact GP team for their work and help. I will be ready for the new races of the MotoE in Le Mans. Here in Jerez, we have shown that we are among the best even if luck was not really on my side today. Fortunately, we still have twelve races to recover the points ”.
“Over the weekend it was great to see so many fans at the track. It's great that people are back to cheer us on. I send a big thank you to them and to all the sponsors who support us! ”.
