What are the best-selling electric scooters in 2022? A few weeks from the end of 2022, sales of electric motorcycles and scooters reached 15.739, with an increase of 58,6% compared to 2021. Driving sales in the last part of 2022 are the incentives of the new eco-bonus from 20 million.
What are the best-selling electric scooters in 2022? And how did the sales of electric motorcycles go this year? While the overall motorized two-wheeler market for 2022 confirms the sales of 2021, with 282.593 registered vehicles, the motorcycle and electric scooter sector is up 58,6% compared to last year. The market for electric two-wheelers between January and November recorded 15.739 vehicles registered, of which 5.646 mopeds, 9.416 scooters and 677 motorbikes. The incidence of zero-emission vehicles on the total market is approximately 5,5%. Compared to 2021, the growth was equal to +58,2% for mopeds, +62,9% for scooters and +17,5% for motorbikes.
The purchase incentives contributed to the results of the electricity sector, the latest of which was the 20 million euro eco-bonus active since October, of which over 7 million are still available.
The Ecobonus 2022 for electric scooters and motorcycles
For most of 2022, electric vehicles took advantage of the eco-incentives that the Italian government made available in the first part of the year and which it renewed in October with another 20 million. On 30 November, 7,3 million euros were still available for the purchase of electric motorcycles and scooters with the state contribution of 30% up to a maximum of 3.000 euros (40% in the event of scrapping and a maximum contribution of 4.000 euros ). The funds have been uploaded to the portal ecobonus.mise.gov.it and are available to anyone wishing to purchase a two-wheeled electric vehicle, e-bikes excluded.

The VMOTO SOCO CUx
The CUx scooter is one of the VMOTO SOCO models equivalent to a 50cc designed specifically to move comfortably in an urban environment. The CUx motor is a 1600 Watt Bosch unit installed in the rear wheel of the vehicle for a maximum speed of 45 km / h. The autonomy is about 75 km; the overall charging time is 8 hours but can drop to 3 and a half hours with fast charging. The NIU NQi Sport
The NIU NQi Sport is an agile and dynamic scooter, designed for urban mobility with three adjustable driving modes (Sport, Dynamic and E-Save). In the rear wheel hub it has integrated a 1.8 kW electric motor for a maximum speed of 45 km / h which places it in the category of electric scooters equivalent to a 50cc. This scooter is equipped with a removable 1.56 kWh or 2.1 kWh battery which guarantees a maximum range of 50 or 70 km. The overall charging time varies from 7 to 9 depending on the type of battery. The batteries can be removed from the scooter for remote charging.

ASKOLL ES Series
The Askoll ES can be chosen between different models with different battery capacity and homologation: the ES1 and ES2 are classified as mopeds, that is, reaching up to 45 km / h. The ES2 in the Evo version has a 2,2 kW motor and a 1,4kWh battery for a range of just under 50km (the version with a double battery pack is also available which doubles its range). The ES3 is the motorcycle version, it has a power of 2,7 kW and reaches 66 km / h thanks to the engine torque of 130 Nm. This version of the ES line has a double battery pack of 2,82 kWh for a autonomy of up to 96 km. The removable batteries are recharged in 8 hours from a normal household socket.

Il PIAGGIO
The Piaggio 1 represents the entry level for “green” urban mobility. It is powered by an electric motor integrated into the rear wheel that delivers 1,2 kW, while the motorcycle version (Piaggio 1 Active) is fitted with a 2 kW unit. The moped version (Piaggio 1) has a speed limited to 45 km / h and a range of up to 55 km in ECO mode (48 km in SPORT mode). The Piaggio 1 Active version has an ECO range of up to 85 km and SPORT up to 66 km. The battery is installed under the saddle and can be easily removed for charging at home or in the office.

The LIFAN E4
The LIFAN E4 is a moped with a Bosch engine and a quality chassis designed for urban mobility. The Chinese company also has in its catalog the major versions registered as a motorcycle. The engine is integrated into the rear wheel hub and has a power of 1.9 kW for a maximum speed of 45 km / h which places it in the category of electric scooters equivalent to a 50cc combustion engine. The battery is a removable 1.56 kWh battery which guarantees a maximum range of 80 km. There is also a double battery version that brings the maximum range to 160 km. The batteries can be removed from the scooter for remote recharging or it can be recharged directly on the vehicle via the appropriate socket.
