The LCR E-Team riders, Eric Granado and Miquel Pons, concluded three intense days of testing with the new Ducati MotoE at the Jerez circuit. The Brazilian was fastest in the combined standings while his teammate finished tenth.

The first official test of 2023 was the first important moment of the new MotoE World Championship, in which the LCR E-Team participates with Eric Granado and Miquel Pons. For the first time, the riders of the MotoE had the opportunity to test on track the new Ducati electric motorcycle. The Italian manufacturer began its journey as the sole supplier for four years for the FIM MotoE World Championship, the electric category of the MotoGP.
Discovering the new Ducati V21L and getting to know it on track was the main target of these three days of testing at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit. Weather conditions altered the initial program and the rain made the track damp in many sessions. However, all the teams, including the LCR E-Team, have gathered valuable information to develop the basic set-up of the bike in view of the test scheduled in Barcelona in a month's time.

This is the combined standings of the MotoE in the three days of testing in Jerez:

Eric Granado (LCR E-Team)
“It’s been a positive test, the weather conditions haven’t helped us but I’m really happy with the bike. I like it and I felt good riding it immediately. Many thanks to the team for their job these days.” The Brazilian rider, runner-up in the 2022 season, arrived in Jerez directly from Indonesia, where he was to compete in the World Superbike races. For this reason, the Brazilian did not participate in the sessions that took place on the first day.

Miquel Pons (LCR E-Team)
“I still need to understand some areas of the Ducati but overall I’m happy, it’s been a positive test. I believe we’ll try new things in Montmelo. I’d like to thank the team, they’ve done a great job."
