Milan Design Week - For Zero Motorcylces it is the “bike of tomorrow, available today”. The FXE is an electric motard with a futuristic style, thanks to the design developed in collaboration with Bill Webb, designer of Huge Design, an award-winning design studio in San Francisco. The FXE's vocation is to be light, agile and nimble for getting through traffic.

Zero Motorcycles participates in the Fuorisalone of the Milan Design Week exhibition by presenting the futuristic FXE electric motorbike. One of the aims of the 2022 exhibition is to propose solutions to urban living and sustainability issues. In this context, Zero Motorcycles presented the FXE, 'the motorbike of the future, available today'. The FXE is a futuristic styled electric motorbike, thanks to the design developed in collaboration with Bill Webb, designer at Huge Design, an award-winning design studio in San Francisco.
The FXE is on display until 12 June at Superstudio Più in Via Tortona 27 in Milan.

"The early Zero Motorcycles models adopted more familiar shapes to make them appealing to the general public. But now - says Vice President of Product Development Brian Wismann - the consumer is ready for updated designs like that of FXE. Although it’s built on the brand’s existing FX platform, the partnership with Huge introduced a completely new design language, informed mainly by stripped-down panels of bodywork. On the FXE, the so-called essential surfaces—seats, body panels, touch points—are intended to look like they’re floating over the chassis. The distinctive styling radiates modern industrial design aesthetics, while “celebrating the electric drivetrain" says Wismann.
The FXE is equipped with the ZForce 75-5 motor and controlled by the Cypher operating system, developed in-house by Zero Motorcycles. The 44 HP and 106 Nm permanent magnet Z-Force motor allows the FXE to reach a top speed of 137 km/h. The motor is cooled directly by the air and does not require routine maintenance. The energy comes from the battery with a maximum capacity of 7,2 kWh. The FXE in running order weights 135 kg.

The Cypher Operating System II proprietary operating system is the integration hub of all motorcycle systems whose parameters are displayed on the 5 ” colour TFT dashboard. It allows the rider to monitor and see the fundamental data of the bike, which are also transmitted and visible on the app that can be installed on a smartphone, transforming the latter into a second dashboard. The Zero FXE is programmed as standard with Eco or Sport riding modes, but the rider can customize the torque, speed and engine brake.
The Zero FXE declares autonomy in the urban cycle of 161 km, which becomes 120 km in the mixed cycle. Charging - to 95% - with the 1 kW Zero Rapid Charger takes 3,6 hours, but the time can drop to 1 hour and 30 minutes with additional multiple chargers.
