Niki Tuuli to miss the Andalucian GP due to wrist injury

Niki Tuuli in with the MotoE of the Ajo Motorsport team

The second round of the FIM World Cup MotoE has come to a premature end for Avant Ajo MotoE and rider Niki Tuuli. In the morning, Tuuli made a promising start, matching his best times from last week. The Finn made solid progress throughout his eight laps of Jerez, with the best time of 1:48.992 at the end of the tests, finishing in tenth place in FP1.
Hours later, Tuuli crashed at turn six, halfway through FP2. The XNUMX-year-old has fractured his right wrist and will not be able to continue driving this weekend. He will shortly undergo surgery.

“We started the weekend with a good feeling. This morning we were matching our times from last week, which was a positive thing. However, I have yet to feel fully comfortable with the bike since getting back on it again this year. We will have to wait to see how my wrist injury comes along. I want to thank the team, and I'm sorry to end the weekend like this."

Here the time schedule of the AndalusiaGP.
