Dorna Sports ed Energica Motor Company announce that the agreement defining the Italian company as the sole supplier for the MotoE World Cup will conclude at the end of the 2022 season.
Energica was the sole supplier of the MotoE since its start in 2019. The 2021 season will mark the final chapter of a four-year journey filled with competition, technological development and thrilling racing. Energica was a key part in making the MotoE an unrivaled showcase for both electric mobility and awesome racing on some of the world's most iconic circuits.
The Energica Ego Corsa proved to be fast, extremely reliable and well appreciated by the riders who took part in the MotoE, and no doubt will continue to amaze in the next season before the collaboration between Energica and Dorna ends. The work carried out both on the track and in the company's headquarters has created constant innovation and new solutions up to bringing the MotoE to the incredible level it is at today. Energica demonstrated an ability to react quickly to challenges and various technical requests in record time. The joint effort between all parties was the key to developing a competition that will now enter a new era, built on a foundation that all parties involved can be immensely proud to have built together.
