At the end of the third free practice session at the Red Bull Ring, Fermin Aldeguer (Openbank Aspar Team) was the fastest ahead of Matteo Ferrari (Indonesian E-Racing Gresini MotoE) and of Lukas Tulovic (Tech3 E-Racing). Eighth time for the leader of the standings Alessandro Zaccone (Octo Pramac MotoE).
