The 2023 season of MotoE, the electric series of MotoGP, recently concluded, with the victory of Mattia Casadei ahead of Jordi Torres and Matteo Ferrari. In this post we present the numbers, statistics and curiosities of the fifth edition of MotoE, which began with the French GP in Le Mans and ended after eight rounds and sixteen races, in Misano, on the occasion of the San Marino GP.
The numbers of MotoE 2023
The winner of the MotoE 2023 was Mattia Casadei, with 260 points in 16 races raced. The new world champion achieved five victories, two second positions and three third positions, as well as a pole position. Casadei's pace was 16.25 points per race, in line with the pace of the winners of previous editions of the MotoE, apart from the 2022 season won by Dominique Aegerter. In 2019, Matteo Ferrari won the title by scoring 16.50 points per race, in the following two years Jordi Torres won with 16.29 and 14.29 per race respectively. Last year however, Aegerter won with a record pace of 18.92 points per race.
2023 was characterized by Casadei's comeback in the championship: from 56 points behind Torres after race 1 of the BritishGP to a 43-point advantage at the end of the season.
With the five victories in 2023, Casadei brought the total number of races won in MotoE to seven and now stands behind Granado, the most victorious rider in MotoE with 11 successes, and of Ferrari, with ten victories.

Eight riders have won a race in 2023: Casadei (5), Ferrari (3), Torres (2), Mantovani (2) and one each for Granado, Spinelli, Krummenacher and Garzò.
Speaking of podiums, ten riders, more than half of the MotoE grid, have reached the podium in at least one race: Casadei (10), Ferrari (7), Torres (6) and Garzò (6), Krummenacher (4), Granado (4) and Spinelli (4), Mantovani (3), Manfredi (2) and Zannoni (2).
