Matteo Ferrari focuses on smoothness

In less than two months the riders of the world championship for electric bikes will be back on track. There MotoE, the new class that from 2019 will join MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3, will try for the second time on the Jerez circuit from 13 to 15 March. Everything is new and you try to understand how the races and the bike will be. It was also done by DueRuote with a long interview with Mattero Ferrari, a Rimini 21 pilot who will work alongside the Trentino Gresini team MotoE Lorenzo Savadori (, here find our interview with Savadori).

We wanted to take up two interesting points from the words of Matteo Ferrari concerning the driving style and the sensations of the engine's silence. Speaking of how this new bike will be driven, Ferrari says: "The center of gravity is at the top, and when you brake you have to do a different kind of braking, because if you come off hard, the fork goes down a lot and you have to keep the edge, because of the weight high ”(la MotoE weighs 260kg - here the technical sheet). He adds: "It reminds me so much of the driving of the Moto3 because you have to be very smooth, you don't have to hang yourself so much when braking; Obviously then the bikes are different, but here it is important to know how to take advantage of the curve ”.

Speaking of the silence of the engine, Ferrari said he entered the track without putting earplugs in his ears but immediately put them on again in the next round. "The wind noise bothered me! Feel everything, the contact of the soap on the asphalt, your breath, your body: it is another dimension, you enjoy so many other things that when there is no noise you do not feel. Beautiful!".

The complete interview with the Trentino Gresini team driver MotoE you can find it on the February issue of DueRuote (link).
