The second round of the MotoE World Championship 2023 takes place this weekend at the Italian circuit of Mugello. In the free practice sessions Matteo Ferrari obtained the best laptime ahead of Nicholas Spinelli and Mattia Casadei.
MotoE FP2 Mugello - This weekend, the second round of the 2023 season of MotoE takes place at Mugello circuit. This edition is the first with World Championship status and with the new V21L electric Ducati.
At the end of FP2, the second free practice session of the MotoE 2023 Italian GP, Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini MotoE) was the fastest ahead of the HP Pons Racing 40 team duo formed by Nicolas Spinelli, rookie in the category, and Mattia Casadei.
Ferrari set the fastest time in 1:56.223, over two and a half seconds below the track record.
After a month of recovery following a crash in the WorldSBK race in Barcelona, Brazilian rider Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) is back on track with the MotoE, achieving a sixth place at the end of FP2. Granado had to miss the first two races of the season at Le Mans.
