The LCR E-TEAM is back on track in Jerez for the first GP of 2020

The FIM Enel MotoE World Cup is ready to get back on track. The first round of the second MotoE season will be held at Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto this coming weekend.
The LCR E-Team riders put themselves and the bikes to the test Wednesday thought out three sessions before the first race weekend. Xavier Simeon achieved an excellent fourth place in the overall classification in his first year in the team of Lucio Cecchinello. The Italian rider Niccolò Canepa in his second season with LCR finished seventh.

Both riders are positive about the progress made during this test day and are looking forward to the opening round. The bikes will be back on track today for two practice sessions. The third free practice and the E-Pole will take place on Saturday. Sunday will be the day of the race at 10:05 local time (GMT + 2).

“For this season, my goal is to try to fight for the podium in every race. Try to win as many races as possible but for sure the adversity is quite high, like last year, so it will be tough because the races are very short. I will be focused on Qualifying and the one flying lap, super pole to try to be always in the best position for the and have more opportunities to fight for the podium during the race.
The test yesterday went quite well. I didn’t have the same feeling as in the previous test, but also the temperature on the track is quite higher. However, we were fighting in front yesterday, so I am happy. We will try to continue improving during the weekend and like I said fight for the podium and victory!"

“I’m super happy to be back on the MotoE bike! From the first session of the test I immediately felt good, so I’m really positive about the race weekend. The hot temperature here in Jerez will be challenging for the batteries and the tires, but we are ready to fight. Yesterday, I ended the three sessions in XNUMXth place even if I didn’t push for lap time. We were working to find the best setting with the new Michelin tires and I feel confident about tha ".
