Krummenacher wins Race 1 of the British GP of MotoE

In the British GP of MotoE at Silverstone, Randy Krummenacher takes the victory in Race 1. The Dynavolt Intact GP team rider precedes Kevin Manfredi and Eric Granado.

Race 1 of the MotoE of the British GP at Silverstone – This weekend, on the English circuit of Silverstone, it takes place the fifth round of the 2023 season of the MotoE, the first with World Championship status and with the new V21L electric Ducati.
On a completely wet track, Randy Krummenacher of the Dynavolt Intact GP team won Race 1 of the British GP; the Swiss rider preceded Kevin Manfredi (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) at the finish line.

Krummenacher started from sixth position on the grid and was already in the top positions from the very first laps. Thanks to two fast laps, the Swiss took the lead at the middle of the race and kept it until the finish line. Behind him, Kevin Manfredi gets the second podium of the season, after an excellent race that started in fourth position. Third step of the podium for Eric Granado, author of the pole position, who had managed to keep the second position until a few corners from the finish line on the last lap.
Hector Garzò, the winner's teammate, finished in fourth place while classification leader, Jordi Torres, closed the Top 5 of Race 1.
Seventh position for the second in the general classification, Matteo Ferrari, who had to serve a long lap penalty for the crash during yesterday's qualifying under the yellow flag. Torres was thus able to increase his lead in the standings, bringing it to 11 points.
Crash on the last lap for Nicholas Spinelli and Luca Salvadori.

In the standings, Torres remains on top with 155 points ahead of Ferrari (144 points) and Krummenacher (123 points).
Race two starts at 16:10 local time.
