Casadei was the fastest, starting from the front row, immediately taking the lead. The first twist came at the first corner, with Krummenacher immediately leaving the fight for victory, due to an crash with Zaccone and Zannoni. In the first lap Tito Rabat and Miquel Pons also crashed.
Casadei immediately leads the race, carrying Granado, Garzò and Mantovani behind him in the first laps. Torres, Ferrari, Spinelli form a second group, a short distance from the first.
In the middle of the race, Casadei and Granado are the fastest and manage to gain against Garzò and Mantovani. The latter is recovered by the group of pursuers. In this group, Torres and Ferrari overtook each other several times, trying to grab important points for the fight for the championship.
From the chasing group it is Spinelli who has the best pace which allows him to recover the gap on Garzò.

Two laps from the end, Granado starts to attack Casadei who however immediately responds to the attack of the Brazilian rider and regains the leadership of the race. The fight for third place between Garzò, Spinelli, Torres and Ferrari was furious, with continuous overtaking and counter-overtaking.
In the penultimate lap, Casadei sets the fastest lap of the race in 2:19.327, gaining precious meters on Granado. Behind the first two, Spinelli passed Garzò, who also passed by Torres and Ferrari. Torres wants the podium to extend the lead in the standings, so attacks and passes Spinelli. The Italian rookie, however, wants the first podium of his career in MotoE, so he passes Torres on the outside a few corners from the finish line.
The order of arrival under the checkered flag is Casadei, Granado, Spinelli, Torres, Ferrari, Garzò, Mantovani, Okubo, Perez and Manfredi. At the end of the race, Ferrari was penalized by two positions for having triggered the accident on the first lap between Zaccone, Zannoni and Krummenacher.
