Randy Krummenacher takes his first victory in his rookie season in the MotoE World Championship. At Silverstone, the Swiss rider of the Dynavolt Intact GP team wins the first edition of the British GP.

There was cause for celebration at Silverstone for the Dynavolt Intact GP team, thanks to Randy Krummenacher's first victory of the season in the MotoE World Championship. Krummenacher took over from compatriot Dominique Aegerter in the Intact GP team, and like his predecessor, he also managed to win a race in his debut season in MotoE.
At Silverstone, despite the rain, the first electric races of the British Grand Prix were thrilling, with numerous overtaking and uncertainties right up to the last lap. On a completely wet track, Krummenacher won Race 1, starting from sixth position on the grid and making a sequence of exciting overtakings. At the finish line, the thirty-three-year-old Swiss preceded Kevin Manfredi (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Eric Granado (LCR E-Team). In Race 2 however, the Swiss rider crashed at the first corner after being hit by another rider.

Thanks to the 25 points obtained with the success in Race 1, Krummenacher consolidated his position in the general standings. The Swiss is currently fourth, one point behind Casadei and one point ahead of Garzò. Just his teammate, Hector Garzò, got a fourth and a sixth position in the two MotoE races at Silverstone, earning a total of 24 World Championship points.
Here the declarations of the two Dynavolt Intact GP team riders at the end of the races at Silverstone.

“It was great to take the first win of the season here. But racing showed once again that things can change very quickly. Nevertheless, I am very positive about the weekend because we were extremely strong and I know what I am capable of. Unfortunately, Matteo Ferrari wanted too much too soon. I simply didn't have a chance. But that's how it goes in racing and I have to accept that. It's a shame for the championship though, but in a fortnight's time at the Red Bull Ring, we'll have our next chance."

Hector Garzo (Dynavolt Intact GP)
“There was a lot of rain at Silverstone over the weekend, which made the conditions really treacherous and difficult. In the first race I felt good, we made a lot of overtaking and in the end I finished fourth. We really wanted the podium, but that's how it went. In the second race, I felt completely different. I had no feeling with the front and in general it was very difficult to ride the bike. I lost some positions on the last lap, but at least we brought home some points”.

There will be another opportunity for the two Dynavolt Intact GP team riders to aim for victory in a fortnight, from 18 to 19 August, at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
