The Portuguese Jorge Viegas is the president of the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation. A few days ago he gave an interview to Prawda Moto that we originally missed, but that we went to recover. Viegas replies: “Of course, there is no alternative. If the motors (for mobility - ed.) Become electric, there will be no development of motors that are not of the same type, whether we like it or not. The MotoGP prototypes represent the technologically highest level of the bikes that we all use on the road. If internal combustion engines will be reduced in people's daily use, how would it be possible to keep them exclusively in races? The same goes for Motocross, Supercross, Speedway, there is no other way. Endothermic engines as we know them today will disappear. "
