Mattia Casadei and Nicholas Spinelli are the PONS Racing riders for the MotoE World Championship 2023. The two young Italians will have the task of defending the colors of PONS Racing next season in the World Championship of electric motorcycles.

Mattia Casadei and Nicholas Spinelli are the PONS Racing riders for the World Championship MotoE 2023. From next season, the MotoE will become a World Championship with sixteen races on eight different circuits, with the French track of Le Mans as the venue for the first race. Ducati will be the official supplier of all electric motorcycles, replacing the Italian brand Energica. PONS Racing, for the next season, will have in its team Mattia Casadei, for the second year with the team led by Sito Pons, and Nicholas Spinelli, rookie in the MotoE World Championship.
Casadei will certainly be one of the title contenders after his great first season with PONS Racing, in which he finished fourth overall, scoring seven podiums, two wins and two pole positions. Casadei is in its fifth season in MotoE and, year after year, he improved his performance to take his maiden electric race win this year, at Le Mans.
At his side, another Italian rider will make his debut, Nicholas Spinelli, 21 years old. Spinelli comes from winning the Italian Supersport Championship, a series in which compete for many of his future rivals in MotoE like his teammate Casadei and Matteo Ferrari. Spinelli also holds two titles in the Italian Moto2022 Championship and two-second places in the same category.

Mattia Casadei (PONS Racing MotoE)
“For next year I am very happy to continue with PONS Racing. This year I have felt very comfortable and we have achieved very good results, although there has also been some bad luck but we have been very fast. I think we will be very competitive next season and that's because I feel very comfortable with the team, we are a family and I'm looking forward to start. The aim is to fight for the championship and to have fun, so I can only thank Sito and the sponsors for their confidence. I am very happy."

Nicholas Spinelli (Pons Racing MotoE)
“I am very happy to join PONS Racing for the MotoE World Championship, as it will be my first season in the World Championship. I am very curious to see how this adventure will go but starting with a team like this gives me a lot of confidence, one of the strongest in the Championship. Thank you for the opportunity and I am looking forward to working together.”
