A short circuit is at the base of the fire that completely destroyed the paddock of the MotoE, the electric class of MotoGP. This is what is contained in the note issued by Dorna about the fire that destroyed the E-paddock of the MotoE in Jerez.
The investigations by the Spanish authorities are still underway to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the events but it has been established that it was a short circuit that gave rise to the fire. This then affected a charging station and extended to the rest of the paddock. No bikes were charging at the time of the fire.
