The Misano World Circuit hosted the second race of the MotoE World Cup for the TISSOT Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna and the Rimini Riviera.
The LCR E-Team rider Niccòlo Canepa finished in fourth place; the Italian said he was satisfied with his performance after a difficult weekend.
In Sunday's race, Xavier Simeon had to start from the pit lane due to a fault in the starter command of his Ego Corsa. Despite the technical problem, the Belgian rider finished in fourteenth position and is now seventh in championship, immediately behind his teammate, sixth.
The duo of LCR team drivers will be back on track at Le Mans for the last two grands prix of the season in three weeks' time.

“This was a weekend to forget. Completely opposite to last week. We could not make it to the start of the race from the grid because we had a technical problem. I had to start from the pit lane. Anyway, I did a very good lap time, I was riding like the riders in the front and the bike was very good… but it’s like this. We’ll take the positives from last weekend, as we got our first podium, and try to be as competitive at Le Mans”.

“I am really happy about today’s race because I started P13 on the EPole yesterday and cameback to P6 in Race 1 and up to P4 in this race. We know we can do a podium because I had the same pace of the riders in the front but I lost in the first few laps in the fight with other riders. Anyway, like I said I am quite happy and we keep doing steps forward and we’ll fight for the podium in Le Mans”.
