Lukas Tulovic of the Tech3 E-Racing team achieved an exceptional performance in his first E-Pole on the torrid Circuit of Jerez-Angel Nieto. The young German achieved the time of 1'48.811, which allowed him to maintain the first position until the last minutes of the session. Tulovic was beaten by Eric Granado for just 0.191 seconds. Tomorrow in the first race of the MotoE season he will therefore start from the front row.
Tommaso Marcon improved even though he struggled a bit to give his best during the EPole. His time of 1'50.110 is worth the fifteenth position on the starting grid, which means that the Italian rookie of the MotoE will start the seven-lap sprint race from the fifth row.

"I’m super happy and I have to admit, that I didn’t expect to be in the front row for my first MotoE race. A huge thanks to my team, they did a really good job and helped me to feel better and better on this bike. We also managed to find a decent step for the setup, so I was able to do this lap time. During the lap, I felt quite good and I’m truly proud I could make it. Now we’re trying to give our best tomorrow".

“To be honest, it was really strange to do this first E-Pole. I need to improve and to learn how to do it well, especially being fast for one single lap. Luckily, we have been doing a great job so far, so our pace for the race seems to be quite good. Therefore, I’m sure we can do better in the race tomorrow.”
