Hector Garzo and Randy Krummenacher gifted the DYNAVOLT INTACT GP MotoE team three podiums in the two opening races of the season at Le Mans, in France, on the new Ducati V21L

The riders of the MotoE have opened a new era of the championship at Le Mans, the one with Ducati. Two truly spectacular races on the first Saturday of the 2023 MotoE World Championship, with an excellent result for the Dynavolt Intact GP team riders.
Hector Garzo grabbed the holeshot in both races from his second starting position, successfully fending off his opponents with perseverance. In Race 1 he even managed to keep his rivals at bay until the last lap, when he was beaten in the final meters by the two-times winner of the MotoE, Jordi Torres, after poleman Matteo Ferrari crashed in the fight for victory.

Also in race two the pace was very high and the rider from Paterna had to give way to his rivals, finishing the race in third position. These two podiums catapulted Garzò to second place in the World Championship standings with a total of 36 points.
Randy Krummenacher, for his part, can be happy with a third place in the opening race. If in Race 1 the Swiss benefited from the crashes of some riders, he still managed to keep an excellent pace, ending third at the finish line. For the second race of the weekend, Krummenacher made some changes together with his team, but these did not give the 33-year-old the advantage he had hoped for in Race 2. The Swiss eventually finished seventh and is tied with Matteo Ferrari in fourth place in the general classification, with 25 points.

“Third place in the first race was certainly good. It was a positive start in this MotoE championship, although it was a bit more difficult for me in the second race. We improved, but the seventh place is a bit bitter in comparison. It also shows us at this point that we still have work to do. For me, this category is completely new and I think we can still learn a lot and improve in the near future. We will work hard to take the next step in Mugello. It seems like there is still something missing in one or two aspects, but the more data we have, the better we can learn to understand the bike. I think we can do better at Mugello because the potential is definitely there."

“In the second race, I suffered a little bit more compared to the first one but I think I still managed it very well and in the best way possible. I am super happy with the first two podiums in the first two races. The bike works well and I am happy with the team for sure. Coming from race 1, we tried a few little changes on the bike in hopes to make things better but in fact, it made it more difficult to manage the bike on the brakes. I think, despite the difficulties, it is pretty good to have finished third in race two. My target is always to finish first but we know where we can adjust things for the future. We did our best together and I want to thank everyone for their effort."

The next round of the MotoE World Championship is the Italian GP at Mugello on the 9th and 10th of June.
