Jordi Torres, two-time champion of the MotoE World Cup, renews his contract with the Pons Racing team; next season his teammate will be the Italian rider Mattia Casadei in his fourth season in the MotoGP electric class.
Pons Racing, the current world champion team of the MotoE led by Jordi Torres, announces the new pair of riders for next season.
The current champion of the category, Jordi Torres, extends his contract with the Sito Pons team to face his third season in MotoE. Torres and Pons Racing have been a successful duo: in the two seasons together they have managed to be champions on both occasions, becoming the rider and the reference team in the category. In his sporting curriculum in MotoE, in addition to the two world titles already mentioned, Torres has obtained 2 wins, 8 podiums and 6 pole positions in 14 races. Thanks to this renewal, Torres will be able to fight again for the title of the category.
At his side in the box, Mattia Casadei will be his new teammate. The young 22-year-old Italian rider will face his fourth season in MotoE. In his score, Casadei has 6 podiums and this year he finished sixth in the overall standings. Pons Racing will give Casadei everything he needs to continue his growth as a rider and take the step forward that will allow him to be one of the top riders in the category.
The Dutch Jasper Iwema leaves the Pons team; during last season, he proved to be a rider with exceptional human skills and to whom the Pons team wishes him the best.

I want to thank Sito for the opportunity he gives me to race in this great team with which we have already become MotoE World Cup champions in 2020 and 2021. Both my technicians Sergi and Pere, as well as my mechanics Ury and Pablo, as well as the rest of the team members do an incredible job throughout the season, and with them I feel strong to fight for a new title in this category of MotoE that continues to grow year after year, and in which I would like to compete for many more years.”

“I am very happy and proud to present our sports project for the next season in the MotoE World Cup. Since this new category of sustainable and electric motorcycles was born, we understood that it is the future and our commitment has always been to win, and we have proven it, with two consecutive titles together with Jordi Torres. Being able to extend his contract only makes us happy and eager to continue working together and looking for new successes. Signing a teammate like Casadei is also very important, since he is a young, fast rider who already stands out among the best in the category and I am sure that he will immediately give us many successes. With both riders we have a very competitive sports project to continue being the leaders of MotoE and I want to thank our sponsors for their support because thanks to them it is possible.
