Gresini Racing presents the team and riders for the 2025 season MotoE. Matteo Ferrari and Alessio Finello will have fourteen races at their disposal to bring home the title of MotoE won in 2019. The start in May, on the French circuit of Le Mans.

Last weekend, in Imola, the presentation of the Gresini Racing teams for the 2025 season, competing in MotoGP, Moto2 and MotoE, took place. For the MotoGP class the 2025 riders will be Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer, the second of whom has a past in MotoE. In Moto2, instead, the riders for the next season will be Albert Arenas and Darryn Binder. Returning to the MotoE in 2025, Gresini Racing will have Matteo Ferrari as rider for the seventh consecutive year and Alessio Finello for the fourth. The Italian team will have the same title sponsor as in recent seasons, FELO, a Chinese manufacturer of electric motorcycles. The livery will still be based on pearl blue and fluorescent yellow.
The Gresini’s Ducati V21L is the first ever to be unveiled in 2025, a season that will surely be as exciting as the one just concluded: 14 races on seven different circuits, including the debut of the Hungarian track of Balaton Park.
News for the 2025 bike: a lighter battery to increase handling and consequently performance on the track, and the possibility of working on more aspects of the set-up compared to the previous season, giving the team a chance to adapt the bike more to the rider and the different circuits.

It is a long story written by the #11 rider and the Faenza team. After having won the first title of the MotoE in 2019 and having finished almost all subsequent championships in the Top3, Matteo Ferrari and FELO Gresini Racing have decided to go together once again to conquer the title of MotoE. In the electric MotoGP category, Ferrari has so far achieved 10 victories and 20 podiums, as well as three pole positions.

Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini MotoE)
“We’re super charged for the season. I worked really hard during the winter and I believe 2025 will witness a Ferrari 2.0 on many areas. 2024 was a formative year and I took everything that was good with me while learning from what went wrong. I’m very motivated: the team made another step forward and this is why I’d like to thank Gresini for supporting me once again. We made some changes and I’m curious about it: the bike will be lighter and there’ll be some novelties, so we’ll be faster. All of this represents a further motivational boost to do well, this category is growing a lot so I’d also like to thank Ducati, as each year they provide us with a much-improved bike.”

Another familiar face will be present in the MotoE Gresini garage in 2025: Alessio Finello has also been confirmed. The Piedmontese rider will aim to reap the results of the work done in the past seasons in the MotoGP electric class. Finello is full of expectations for his fourth year in MotoE, the third on the Ducati electric V21L.

Alessio Finello (MotoE Gresini Racing)
“This will be my fourth MotoE year, and the experience is different – meaning the goals also will change. I feel like I’m a stronger rider, mentally as well. Our goal will be to improve our results compared to 2024 and get as close as possible to the frontrunners. The potential is there, I know the team very well and there’s great synergy. The important thing is to get a good start already from testing, so that we can get a good base to start from for the rest of the year. I will also train between one race and the other, in order to be in the best shape possible and ready for each round. I believe this is a key year for my career and I’m ready to give my 100%. I can’t wait to resume my work with the team, it’s an honour and a reason to be proud to be racing under this banner this year, too.”

Luca Gresini (FELO Gresini Racing Team Manager)
“We confirmed last year’s line-up. After what was a learning year for us, we expect to be battling for the title with Matteo; we’re on a path with Alessio, and his growth in 2024 was significant, meaning we can now aim at some good results. FELO will be once again at our side as title sponsor, and we’ll have a lighter Ducati machine on which we’ll be able to work more extensively. We’re ready to be a referral point as a team in the 2025 MotoE World Championship."
