The first day of the MotoE World Cup took place through two free practice sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The Octo Pramac team riders MotoE continued to search for the right set-up of the bike, improving the results compared to the Valencia tests last month. The team also received visits from Carmelo Ezpeleta and some colleagues from the team Ducati Journal.

Despite a crash in the first round of the FP1, Alex De Angelis closed the morning session with the third time. A second slip on the sixth lap of the FP2 reduced the number of laps useful for the San Marino driver, who still managed to improve on 3 tenths.
“I started very well immediately, improving the time in the morning also thanks to the changes we made. I found some traffic on the track and maybe I got nervous. However, we have great confidence in view of the Epole of tomorrow. "

For him it was the first time at the Sachsenring. Josh then used the FP1 to get familiar with the circuit while in FP2 he pushed further improving over 1 second before closing the session early for a crash.
“It was the first time on this circuit for me and it was not easy to become familiar especially in the second sector. In FP2 I felt I was improving lap after lap but unfortunately I crashed. We will try to understand why by analyzing the data. "
