The new FP3 introduced at the AustrianGP

Alex De Angelis comes out of the pit lane

From the experience of the first official race weekend at Sachsenring, the first important change for the MotoE on the occasion of the next GP in Austria scheduled from 9 to 11 August. On the occasion of the first race, the E-Pole, the qualifying session, was the only time the riders took to the track on Saturday; the qualifying took place without being able to verify the conditions of the track with respect to the free practice on Friday. At the Red Bull Ring, there will be an additional session to the original program: FP3.

This new session will last 20 minutes and will start at 8:30 local time (GMT +2) on Saturday, to give riders the opportunity to check track conditions on the same day as the E-Pole. The combined times of FP1, FP2 and FP3 will be used to define the order in which the drivers will start for their lap of the E-Pole. Two races are scheduled at Misano and Valencia, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, so the new FP3 session is currently only scheduled for Austria.
