The second race of the FIM World Cup MotoE took place last sunday on the Angel Nieto circuit in Jerez. The six-lap race ended with a positive result for the LCR team, with both riders in the top ten.
Niccolò Canepa started from ninth position on the grid finishing fifth and improving his lap time; Xavier Simeon started from the fourth row with a good pace, but due to the crash of Marcon and Zaccone near him at turn six, he lost some positions. In the following part of the race Simeon managed to recover, finishing in ninth place. (here the standings of the MotoE after two races).

"Well, I am pleased to have finished the race. In the first lap, Maron and Zaccone crashed behind me and almost took me down, I don’t know how I didn’t crash, but I ended up in the back. Fortunately, I could recover some positions and we’ll get points for the Championship. The lap time in the race was quite fast, so it’s a positive result".

“I am quite satisfied about the race. I pushed really hard and I improved my lap time compared to yesterday. It was a nice fight, I think PXNUMX is a good result. It was useful to ride with the top riders because I could spot some differences in the bike and riding style, something that we can improve and keep fighting for the podium".
