Italian Kevin Zannoni and Spanish Miquel Pons completed the first official test of the MotoE World Cup 2021. Both rookie riders had the opportunity to test the Energica Ego Corsa in these first three days of testing at the Angel Nieto circuit.
The LCR E-Team riders worked hard session after session to find the best set-up and to familiarize themselves with the reactions of the bike. Pons showed impressive improvement from 13th in the first session to 6th on the final day of testing. Zannoni also managed to improve his lap time in every session. Their learning path with the MotoE will continue during the next official test which will take place once again in Jerez de La Frontera, from 12 to 14 April.

“My firsts impressions have been really good. To be honest, on the first day we did not push hard at the beginning but we ended up getting more and more confident. We’ve been faster in every outing we made, improving and understanding more the bike. I am pleased with the work we've done, we finished in the top ten in the overall standings of the three days of testing. It is a good result. I'm ready for the next test”.

"First of all, I’d like to thank my team, they did a great job, they’ve helped me to adapt my style from Moto3 to the MotoE. The bike is very nice to ride, I liked it very much. For me, it is difficult because it is really different from Moto3 but we improved practice after practice. I think we did well. Unfortunately, one session was cancelled today and the last practice was too windy but, in the end, I have good feeling on the bike and hopefully I can continue to improve in the next test”.
