The Openbank Aspar MotoE team is ready for the 2024 season. The Spanish team will aim to win the MotoE with Jordi Torres and Kevin Zannoni.
The Openbank Aspar team closes the year by presenting the two riders for the 2024 MotoE World Championship: Jordi Torres and Kevin Zannoni. Jordi Torres, the champion of MotoE in 2020 and in 2021 and 2023 vice-champion, has extended his relationship with “Aspar” Martinez's team for another season, for a new chance to win his third MotoGP electric category title. In MotoE, in addition to the two titles, Torres won four races and achieved 14 podiums, as well as six pole positions. In 2024, Torres will have as a teammate the Italian rider Kevin Zannoni, who arrives at the Openbank Aspar team to continue his growth that began in the electric category in 2021. For Zannoni, 2024 will be the fourth year in MotoE, after his debut with the LCR E-Team and two years with the Sic58 Sqaudra Corse, with which he achieved two podiums and a pole position last year.

The Aspar team lineup for next year follows the trend of 2024 teams having both riders capable of achieving victories and podiums in MotoE and bringing important points for the team classification.
Jordi Torres and Kevin Zannoni will begin their 2024 season in February, when the electric MotoGP class tests at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve on February 21-23, followed by another test at the same venue on March 21. Two fundamental tests for the class MotoE which will race for the first time in Portugal, for the opening of the 2024 season scheduled in Portimao from 22 to 24 March 2024.

Statements from Openbank Aspar MotoE Team members
Jorge Martínez Aspar (CEO of the Openbank Aspar Team)
“Last year we opted for Jordi Torres' return home, and it has proven to be a great success. Jordi has taken us to the top, he has made us dream and he has made us excited about a possible title and I am sure that in 2024 he will do it again. With the support of Openbank, for the sixth year in a row, and with Jordi's desire and drive and a year of experience on the Ducati, I am convinced that this next season we will have fun again and fight for great goals.
At the same time, we would like to welcome Kevin Zannoni to the Openbank Aspar Team. He is a young rider who we have been watching grow in the category for several years. Last year he got his first podiums and this year we want to give him the best tools so that he can continue with that positive progression and get to fight for great goals with us."

“We have closed a great season as the MotoE runner-ups. It has been a year full of emotions, with good and bad moments, but in which we have fought together as a great team. I am very happy to have experienced this first season with the Openbank Aspar Team, which is already a second family for me, and to continue now in 2024 fighting together again for the title."

“My goal this season with the Openbank Aspar Team will be to be competitive in every race and to fight for podiums and victories. I know the team will do everything possible to achieve it and I will work as much as possible to achieve it. I am going to have a very strong and experienced teammate, which will serve as a great stimulus for me. I also know that I will be able to learn a lot from him and I hope to take advantage of it. I want to thank all the people who have made it possible, especially Jorge Martínez “Aspar”, Nico Terol, Alessandra, and my sponsors.”
