This weekend, the MotoE arrives in Misano for the San Marino GP, the final round of the 2024 season. After fourteen races completed out of a total of sixteen, leading the 2024 World Championship is Hector Garzò (Dynavolt Intact GP) with a significant advantage over a group of three riders determined to challenge him for the lead of the standings until the final corner.
The Valencian rider now has a 38-point advantage over Casadei and the 2023 world champion has just 50 points left in the two races at Misano to close the gap. Kevin Zannoni is third in the standings, with a gap of 44 points from Garzò, while for Gutierrez, fourth, the gap is 49 points.
At the end of the FP1, the first free practice session of the San Marino GP of MotoE 2024, Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team) was the fastest. The 2023 champion set the fastest time, ahead of Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar Team) and Alessandro Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing). Casadei was the first rider to break the previous track record.
