Marcon and Tulovic join the Tech3 E-Racing 2020 team

For the second season of the MotoE World Cup, the Tech3 E-Racing team of Hervé Poncharal chooses the Italian rider Tommaso Marcon and the German Lukas Tulovic. Marcon, nineteen years old, arrives from two excellent seasons in the CEV Moto2, while Tulovic, also nineteen, in the 2019 raced the Moto2 world championship with the Kiefer Racing team. Here the statements of the two riders and team manager Hervé Poncharal.

Tommaso Marcon
"I am very, very happy to be part of the Tech3 E-Racing team for the 2020 and I’m also very happy to test the MotoE bike, as it’s very important. My expectation for the upcoming season and also the target is to fight for the FIM Enel MotoE Cup championship and I guess that’s the target of the whole team. I’ll give my maximum to achieve that."

Lukas Tulovic
"I am very thankful to Hervé Poncharal and the entire Tech3 E-Racing team for the chance to compete in the MotoE Championship. I’m looking forward to this category, I already followed the races, as they are short, but very exciting. It’s impressive how fast you can go with these heavy machines, which the boys showed this year. Hector Garzo already did very well this year, so I hope I can do as well as him. I’m there to fight at the front, which is my mission and I’ll train hard for this during this winter. I can’t wait for the first tests and the first race!"

Hervé Poncharal
"I’m very proud and happy to finally announce our Tech3 E-Racing MotoE team for the upcoming season. Clearly, we have seen that the young riders have been performing incredibly well in 2019 and I believe this is a trend that everybody will want to follow, so I decided to do this as well. Our riders will be Tommaso Marcon from Italy, 19 years old, turning 20 at the end of this year and Lukas Tulovic from Germany, turning 20 halfway through the 2020 season; so very young line-up, one rider from Italy, one rider from Germany. Tommaso was among the top riders in the European FIM CEV Moto2 Championship and Lukas scored points in his debut Moto2 World Championship. Tommaso will race again in the FIM CEV Moto2 European Championship in the 2020 and Lukas will be racing in the Supersport World Championship as well. We are very excited and believe that these two guys will be front-runners. We will keep the same team presentation and are very glad to have Total Hi-Perf on board with us for the second year in a row and we can’t wait to start testing with the Energica bike. Year one was a great challenge, producing great racing, but I believe everybody knows more about MotoE racing now, so 2020 will be even more exciting and even more professional and hopefully, Tech3 will be part of the front. So, welcome to Tommaso, welcome to Lukas!"
