In 2024 the MT Helmets MSi team will debut in the Moto2 and MotoE World Championships. For the electric class of MotoGP, the Spanish team has chosen Miquel Pons and Oscar Gutierrez.
For its debut in the MotoE World Championship, the MT Helmets MSi team has chosen Miquel Pons and Oscar Gutierrez. Teo Martín's team took over Moto2 and MotoE to the PONS Racing team, with the commitment to guarantee the continuity of the majority of the PONS Racing staff.
The legacy of the Sito Pons team in MotoE is remarkable if you consider that in five years of racing, PONS racing has won the world title three times with Jordi Torres (2020 and 2021) and Mattia Casadei (2023). In addition to the three category titles, the PONS team riders achieved a total of 10 victories and 29 podiums.

The MT Helmets MSi team's challenge to the other MotoE World Championship teams starts with two Spanish riders: Miquel Pons and Oscar Gutierrez.
In 2024, Miquel Pons will participate in his fourth season in MotoE, after three years, from 2021 to 2023, spent with Lucio Cecchinello's LCR E-Team. Pons has already participated in 35 races in MotoE, winning the Catalan GP in Barcelona in his debut year, 2021. That year Pons was also Rookie of the Year in MotoE and seventh in the general classification.
The following year, in 2022, Pons did not win any races but, thanks to four podiums and excellent races, he finished the championship in fifth position. 2023 was the most difficult year for Pons; the Spanish rider had difficulty adapting to the new Ducati V21L, but in the second part of the season his performance improved, leading him to come close to the podium in Austria.

Oscar Gutierrez will be one of the rookies of the MotoE 2024, but the Spanish rider has already had the opportunity to race with the Ducati V21L. At the Red Bull Ring and in Barcelona, Gutierrez raced with the Pramac Racing team as a replacement for the injured Luca Salvadori. Considering the lack of experience with the MotoE bike, Gutierrez had a good performance, obtaining eleventh place as his best result.
For the new team of MotoE, the appointment on track is in Portimao on 21 and 22 February, for the first official tests of the 2024 season.
