Hector Garzò dominates Race 2 of the German GP and signs his first double victory in MotoE. Wet or dry, the winner remains the same. Nicholas Spinelli and Jordi Torres were also on the podium. Now Garzò is firmly leading the championship with four races to go.

Hector Garzò wins race 2 of the German GP of the MotoE 2024 al Sachsering.
This weekend, the MotoE was at the Sachsenring for the German GP, the sixth round of the 2024 season. The two races on the German track revolutionized the general classification. After Hector Garzò's victory in race 1, a few hours later, we saw a new awesome race from the IntactGP team rider, who also took victory in race 2.
The start of the race was postponed repeatedly due to a storm that arrived on the track just moments before the start of the race. After over an hour and a half of waiting, race 2 finally got underway, shortened from eleven to nine laps to give the riders the opportunity to run two sightsing laps to evaluate the track conditions.
At the start Oscar Gutierrez immediately took the lead, followed by Garzò, Zaccone, Spinelli and Torres. However, the positions did not remain for long because Spinelli overtook his teammate and Garzò passed Gutierrez. During the following lap it was Torres' turn to overtake Zaccone, moving into fourth position, behind Spinelli.

The latter is the fastest on the track together with Hector Garzò so, within the second lap Spinelli goes on the attack and overtakes Gutierrez, chasing the race leader. At this point of the race, after three laps, we have Garzò and Spinelli in the lead, followed by Gutierrez, Torres and Zaccone. Torres is very fast and has a pace a second faster than Gutierrez, but he can't overtake him on the twisty German track. The two leading riders have a pace that is unstoppable for all the others and at halfway through the race they have over three seconds ahead of the Gutierrez-Torres duo. Garzò, who became the championship leader after the victory in Race 1, sees the possibility of further increasing his lead in the standings; his opponents are in fact behind: Casadei is ninth and Zannoni is thirteenth.
The Spaniard from the IntactGP team increases the pace and gains tenth after tenth on Spinelli, bringing his lead to a second and a half with two laps to go. Spinelli is unable to oppose the strength of Garzò, who goes on to win his second race of the day, the fourth of his career in MotoE. Behind Garzò comes Spinelli, on the second podium of the day and Jordi Torres, who finally managed to overtake Gutierrez with one lap to go. Zaccone, author of the pole position, closes the Top 5.
With this new victory, Garzò consolidates his leadership in the standings; the Spanish rider now has 179 points, while Casadei has 154 and Gutierrez 150.
The next round of MotoE is the Austrian GP, scheduled for 16 and 17 August.
