French GP MotoE - The MotoE World Cup returns this weekend to Le Mans for the second round of its fourth season. At the end of the second free practice session of the French GP of the MotoE 2022, Jordi Torres (Pons Racing 40) was the fastest ahead of Matteo Ferrari (FELO Gresini Racing MotoE) and Kevin Zannoni (Sic58 Squadra Corse).
The best rookie was Xavi Fores (OCTO Pramac MotoE) with the seventh time.
Lap times have dropped considerably compared to the morning, when the asphalt temperature was only 13°C. Torres' best time is a few tenths slower than the Spanish rider's pole position of 2020.
The session was interrupted by a red flag on the second lap due to the crash of Mattia Casadei, without consequences for the rider, while a technical problem stopped Andrea Mantovani. The latter participates in the French GP to replace the injured Bradley Smith (WithU GRT RNF MotoE team) which, as in Spain, did not get the doctors' okay following the injury he had at Le Mans a month ago.
