San Marino GP of MotoE: Aegerter gains the pole position

Dominique Aegerter will start from pole position in the San Marino GP of the MotoE

San Marino GP of MotoE - Dominique Aegerter gains the pole position at the Misano World Circuit ahead of Mattia Casadei and Jordi Torres. His rival for the final victory of the championship, Eric Granado, finished fourth.

San Marino GP of MotoE: the time has come for qualifying in Q1 and Q2 style to assign the last pole position of the MotoE World Cup 2022. Starting from pole position in the races of the San Marino GP of the MotoE will be the leader of the championship, Dominique Aegerter (Dynavolt Intact GP).
Behind him, Mattia Casadei (Pons Racing 40) who, after scoring the best laptime in free practice, finishes second in qualifying. The other rider of the Pons Racing 40 team, the two-time champion of the MotoE, Jordi Torres, completes the front row.
At the end of Q1, the fastest drivers were Xavi Cardelus and Kevin Zannoni, as in the last round in Austria. The riders of the Esponsorama and Sic58 Squadra Corse teams switched to Q2 after having recharged the battery of their bikes and having mounted a new tire on the rear.

The results of the Q2 of the San Marino GP at the Misano World Circuit

The Q2 started with Miquel Pons (LCR E-Team) who immediately took the lead with a time of 1:43.810 but after a few seconds it was the home rider, Matteo Ferrari (FELO Gresini MotoE), to take the lead with a time of 1:43.652. A lap after, it's Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) turn to take the lead with a time of 1:43.451. Aegerter, who until then had set the sixth fastest time, makes a new fastest lap and climbs up to the provisional second place behind the leading Swiss rider.
The laptimes of all the riders, progressively decrease but it is Mattia Casadei who records the best time with 1:43.415 before being overtaken in the lead by Dominique Aegerter, who, two minutes from the end of the session, improves Casadei's best time by 2 thousandths. The Italian rider of the Pons Racing 40 team tries to get back in the lead with a very fast lap but falls three corners from the finish and has to give up the rest of the qualifying.
Just before the checkered flag, Aegerter improved again his best time to 1:43.174. Mattia Casadei remains in second place while Jordi Torres who sets his best time and rise in third position. Eric Granado thus finds himself fourth and will start from the second row together with Ferrari and Pons.
Alex Escrig (Tech3 E-Racing) is the best rookie once again.
