The electric scooters of MotoGP: the Aprilia Racing team has the Piaggio 1 at its disposal to move in an eco-sustainable way within the paddock in the rounds of the world championship. The Piaggio 1 of Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales have a dedicated livery that reflects that of the bikes of the two official Aprilia team riders.
The electric scooters of MotoGP: the Piaggio 1 is the model chosen by Aprilia Racing for the official team in MotoGP. Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales together with the team technicians have these electric scooters at their disposal to move around the paddock of the circuits of the world championship.
The Piaggio 1 represents the Italian group's entry level for “green” urban mobility. It is powered by an electric motor integrated into the rear wheel that delivers 1,2 kW, while the more powerful version, the Piaggio 1 Active, has a 2 kW unit. The Piaggio 1 version has a speed limited to 45 km / h and a range of up to 55 km in ECO mode (48 km in SPORT mode). The Active version has an ECO range of up to 85 km and SPORT up to 66 km. The battery is installed under the saddle and can be easily removed for charging at home, in the office, or, in the case of Aprilia riders, in the MotoGP pits.
The dashboard consists of a large 5,5 ”color LCD digital display that is always readable thanks to the twilight sensor which adapts the background and color of the characters according to the detected light conditions.
Thanks to the eco-incentives, Piaggio 1 can be purchased with scrapping starting from € 1.808 (without scrapping from € 2.029). The prices of the Piaggio 1 Active instead start at 2.210 euros (2.480 euros without scrapping).
