This weekend the MotoE is on track at Misano, for the 2025 San Marino GP. At the end of Friday, Eric Granado is in pole position ahead of Alessandro Zaccone and Andrea Mantovani.
This weekend the MotoE stops in Misano for the San Marino GP, the sixth round of the 2025 MotoGP electric category. This will also be the penultimate round in the history of the MotoE, which will be suspended by Dorna at the end of this season.
After the two morning sessions, Matteo Ferrari had set the fastest time ahead of Hecto Garzò and Mattia Casadei. Lorenzo Baldassarri, the championship leader tied on points with Casadei, set the ninth fastest time and was forced to participate in Q1.
Baldassarri himself was the protagonist of Q1, crashing on his first fastest lap. The title contender finished qualifying in thirteenth place, while Jordi Torres and Alessio Finello advanced from Q1 to Q2 to battle for the front rows of tomorrow's two races. With Baldassarri's crash, Casadei's home GP briefly seemed to be a smooth ride, but the LCR team rider crashed like his main rival without recording a single fastest lap. With the two championship leaders out of the way, the fight for pole position was dominated by the chasing pack. At the end of Q2, Eric Granado was the fastest, thus taking pole position for the San Marino GP. Joining the Brazilian rider, Alessandro Zaccone and Andrea Mantovani will start on the front row.
Mattia Casadei will start from tenth position.
