Results of the FP1 of the 2024 Italian GP at Mugello – This weekend, at Mugello, it takes place the Italian GP, the fourth round of the MotoE 2024, the electric category of MotoGP.

Last weekend in Barcelona, the MotoE 2024 saw an upheaval in the general ranking. Two crashes for the winner of three of the first four races of the year, Nicholas Spinelli (Tech3 E-Racing), had opened the door for Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team) to increase his lead in the standings, but the streak of podiums record of the LCR team driver stopped in Catalonia. Casadei took a sixth-place finish in Race 1 before making his first mistake of the season in Race 2 and crashing.
Two young riders who had never won before in MotoE took advantage of this. Kevin Zannoni (Openbank Aspar Team), after the brilliant podium in Race 1, triumphed in the second race of the day after an incredible last lap, taking his first victory and the lead in the standings. Race 1 winner, rookie Oscar Gutierrez (Axxis-MSI), finished second in Race 2 and earned third place in the overall standings. This means Casadei now finds himself in second position between two riders who had never won before last Saturday; the three are now contained in just two points. Spinelli, fourth, is 13 points from the top.
