Granado at Misano to fight for the title
Eric Granado, one of the favorites to the final win of the MotoE 2021

The rider of the ONE Energy Racing team arrives in Italy for the sixth and final round of the 2021 season: a double race that could allow him to achieve the first title in the MotoGP electric class.

The legendary Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” will host the last round of the MotoE World Cup 2021, event included in the San Marino GP. Eric Granado arrives at the sixth and final round with the chance of winning the title, which will be decided in the two races that will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
In the last round in Austria, Granado made a spectacular comeback in the race, moving from thirteenth place to second. The Brazilian has achieved two wins and four pole positions this season.

At Misano, Granado has not achieved significant results so far; in 2019, an error in qualifying and a crash in the race marked the weekend of the Brazilian rider. In 2020 Granado made another mistake in the EPole and crashed at turn four in the race. In the three races held at Misano in 2020, Granado's best result was seventh place, but he also set the fastest lap with 1'42.910.
If the precedents do not seem encouraging for the One Energy Racing team rider, the performance, consistency and calm shown this year suggest that the San Marino GP will have a new outcome for Granado.

The overall standings

Eric Granado
“At Misano we will continue with the same style of work as at the last few races, and we will look to get a good feeling with the bike to have a competitive pace from the beginning. It will be a different round to the rest, since it will be two races and we will only have two practice sessions, so we will have less time to find the best setup. Misano is a circuit that I know since I raced there in the last two years. I have a good feeling as I was quite fast last year, and I also hold the circuit record. This weekend I will do my best to get a good result for the team and for myself. They will be two very important races, especially the second one, where we will have to think about the championship. I'm confident and I am looking forward to working with my team and finishing this season in a great way”.
