EMX Powertrain in the E-Xplorer World Cup

Dutch EMX Powertrain will be one of the official manufacturer of the FIM E-Xplorer World Cup 2022

EMX Powertrain was established as a technical partnership project in 2018 with the support of Yamaha Motor Europe NV and the Royal Dutch Motorcyclists Association (KNMV). This resulted in the development of the extraordinary EMX Pro - an electric motocross prototype that embodies the vision of EMX Powertrain and answers the call for a clean and silent motocross bike. It’s primary objective was to explore the opportunities for developing an electric alternative to a motocross bike with similar competitive qualities as its existing equivalent. Praised for its performance by professional test riders, the EMX Pro proved itself as a promising foundation for the further development of electric dirt bikes.
EMX Powertrain became an independent company founded by Elmar Dohms in 2021. Aided by new perspectives and the extensive experience of its test riders, EMX Powertrain is continuing to develop the EMX Pro until its evolution is introduced to the market soon to respond to the request for a green and silent motocross.

The 2022 FIM E-Xplorer World Cup

Alongside M-TEC (Mugen), Electric Motion and other manufacturers that have not yet been announced, the Dutch company's innovative electric motorcycle will tackle the three rounds that will take place in urban and rural environments around the world. EMX Powertrain will use the E-Xplorer World Cup to advance and further develop its technology for application in future products.
