Dominique Aegerter: "I can't wait for the races to start"

Aegerter during the tests of the MotoE at Jerez

Just over three months after the electric bikes were taken off the grid at the first test, the riders of the MotoE are preparing to move back to the Andalusian circuit for the first race of the new calendar of the MotoE World Cup 2020. Among the new riders of the new edition, the Swiss Dominique Aegerter achieved the third best time in the winter tests, at the first experience on the MotoE. Here his words about the start of the championship.

“I am really happy that we can finally start racing again. I am ready and fit because I was able to train a lot. In the past few weeks, I've been riding motocross again, actually as soon as I was allowed to do that again here in Switzerland.”

“I am looking forward to seeing my team again and of course to gain new experience on my MotoE bike after we only rode one test earlier this year. I will do my best and bring in all my experience. I am in a positive mind-set, especially since my team already has one year of experience in that category. I can't wait to get started in Jerez in just over a month. My goal is to fight with the front. Nevertheless, I have to face the fact that after all, MotoE is still relatively new to me. The procedure with the E-pole lap and the short race distance is, of course, unusual to me, but I'm very happy to be able to start racing again."
