Free practice sessions for the 2025 MotoE French GP – This weekend, at Le Mans, the 2025 MotoE French GP, the first round of the electric MotoGP category, will take place.
At the end of the free practice sessions held on Friday morning, Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team) was the fastest ahead of his teammate Eric Granado. Behind them was the Power Electronics Aspar team rider, Jordi Torres. The Top5 is completed by Oscar Gutierrez (MSi Racing Team) and Kevin Zannoni (Power Electronics Aspar Team).
In addition to the performance of the two LCR team riders, both under the previous track record, it is worth mentioning the result of Lorenzo Baldassarri (Dynavolt Intact GP), seventh on his debut in MotoE, and Maria Herrera (Klint Forward Factory Team), eighth. Both gained direct access to Q2.

Among the prominent names of the MotoE who remained out of Q2 we find Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini Racing) and Nicholas Spinelli (Rivacold Snipers Team MotoE). Ferrari surprised negatively after the excellent test in Barcelona, where he had obtained the best lap time and also the victory in the simulated race, and the good performance in the test on Thursday, also in Le Mans. A better performance was also expected from Spinelli, after the double victory at Le Mans in 2024. Both remain however the favorites to go from Q1 to Q2.
Q1 is scheduled to start at 17:05, Q2 at 17:25.
