For the second season of the MotoE World Cup, the Trentino Gresini team announces the Italian rider Alessandro Zaccone alongside the 2019 champion Matteo Ferrari.

Fausto Gresini remains convinced that the MotoE World Cup should be a project for young riders and chooses Zaccone, 20, a past in the Italian Speed Championship where he was champion of the CBR600RR Cup in 2014 and a third place finish in the CEV Moto2 this year. His first contact with the MotoE will be in Jerez de la Frontera from 10 to 12 March, a circuit that will also host the start of the world championship on the first weekend of May. In the Trentino team, Zaccone will find the chief engineer Giuseppe De Gruttola and will be able to count on the support of Manuel Poggiali (here the recent interview by Poggiali at Epaddock).
Alessandro Zaccone
"It will certainly be an interesting and completely new challenge for me. I am very happy about this opportunity and I am so happy to have joined a team like Gresini Racing, a dream pursued since I was a boy. I will give the 200% to repay Fausto's trust and I expect a great season."
Fausto Gresini
"Alessandro is a young Italian rider of great perspective and was exactly the kind of rider we were looking for. I have always said that the MotoE project must be a project for young riders and I am happy to be able to give this opportunity to a boy that I thought was mature to jump into the MotoGP world after doing so well in this year's CEV Moto2. We want to confirm our performance in the 2020 and with this line-up we will try to do even better than the 2019. "
