Aegerter ends the MotoE 2022 test in first position

Dominique Aegerter was the fastest in the MotoE test in Jerez

In the first three days of the official test of the MotoE which took place in Jerez de la Frontera, Dominique Aegerter was the fastest, recording the best laptime over all sessions. The weather was very changeable, creating very different asphalt conditions over the three days.

For the third year in a row, the German team Dynavolt Intact GP has chosen Dominique Aegerter for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup. This week, the Swiss rider was back on track with the MotoE for the first time in 2022, for three days of pre-season testing.
The first three days of testing the MotoE in Jerez took place in highly changeable weather conditions. The sessions on the first day took place on a dry track while the second day was characterized by rain. In the morning session of the third day only a few riders were on track due to the cold and damp track. Only in the afternoon the track became dry and fast again to continue testing.

Dominique Aegerter finished the first day of testing as the fastest rider of the day, from then on he took a more prudent approach to avoid taking unnecessary risks. His feeling was positive both on dry and wet conditions. Meanwhile, in their respective three twenty-minute sessions a day, he worked on set-up, transmission and suspensions.
The next test will be again on the Andalusian circuit of Jerez de la Frontera, from April 11th to 13th, two weeks before the start of the championship.

“Three days of testing have now been completed, with Monday clearly being the best day, as it was consistently nice, albeit a bit windy. On Tuesday it rained really hard in two sessions, once there were mixed conditions and on the last day, I unfortunately only did three laps twice. This morning the track was still wet, especially in the corners, but dry on the straights, so we decided not to go out. At lunchtime, there was supposed to be a Q1 and Q2 qualifying simulation, but unfortunately, one rider had technical difficulties so the session had to be cancelled.
In the last 20 minute session of the day, as I said, we did two three-lap stints, but I didn't improve my time from Monday. Of course, we still tried something on the bike, it also felt a bit different.
I was just 0.184 behind Torres in third place, which shows that in principle we are upfront in all conditions and that was truly important. I have a very good feeling with my new crew. In April we will have another three days of testing before the first MotoE at the end of April. . But I also want to thank my team for believing in me for another year and giving everything to fight for the Cup title again."
